I am not complaining about this conversation at all. However, I was speaking to someone earlier who I could not get a word in edgewise. They kept on cutting me off.
Then that forced me to be more assertive and I had to speak over them.
I’m really nice so people constantly try to talk over me but then when I am more assertive they try to make it out like I am the bad guy.
This happens to a lot of women in business and in other fields, or just in life in general. That’s why sometimes they call women “a bad word”. I can see how misunderstandings happen.
It’s best during a conversation that every person allow the other to finish speaking otherwise each person starts to talk over the other.
The conversation ended as expected. It was overall fairly cordial for the culture of New Jersey.
