When my son was young, I noticed that he liked the water. The YMCA was a few minutes away, and I thought the minute he showed interest was the best time to teach him. I made a phone call, and enrolled him in a class. It was too crowded and I wanted him to have one-on-one lessons, so I later paid for that. He enjoyed the group lessons. It’s just that we had a couple other children who were difficult. After a couple months, of one-on-one lessons, I then paid a private tutor separate from the YMCA, since we had a membership and access to a couple of pools. Our private tutor was a wonderful lady ull of light with blond hair and a great personality. She made sure to play pool games with my son, and other children were there also. Everyone had a fun time. Many people don’t know this, but there are a lot of children who do not know how to swim.
One of my friends who frequented the pool did not like my son’s new teacher, but his tutor was a very kind woman. One day, my friend complained to me that she could be doing more with him. Instead of firing her, I went out and purchased a whole bunch of pool-related products, and typed up a list of songs and activities for her to do with him. In short, I wrote a program for her, and offered her any assistance within reason to be successful. For what I was paying her, some believed that she should have done this on her own, but I disagreed. She was trainable, and after we worked together, everything went off without a hitch.
I realized from life experience that sometimes, women can get a little bit jealous and try to cause trouble. This teacher loved my son, and that was enough. We communicated well.
Her Serene Highness the Princess of Monaco is a very intuitive and generous person for launching a foundation that takes part in teaching children how to swim. I am sure there are many in Senegal who are thankful for her kindness, generosity, and grace.
I have never worked with this organization, but if you’re in the New York City area, it looks like it might be worth checking out.
Blessings, safety and good health to everyone. Have a great day.
