There are many who are mourning the death of Steven Hawking but instead I would like you to consider all the contributions that he has made. Please pay extra attention to the fact that they came after a diagnosis of a life altering condition. He lived for over 50 years with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ).
The sick and disabled are contributors to our society. There are some people who are simply there to teach us all how to live with compassion, and to give love, mercy and empathy.
Many special needs people are impoverished by no fault of their own. They were literally pushed into poverty because the NT’s insisted that they were not allowed to thrive.
